In September, 1958, the Class of 1963 entered Ironton High School as "Peanuts". The candle which was to guide us through the halls of Ironton High School and all the wonders that awaited us, had just begun to burn.

Hi!
My name is Jon McComas.
I went to Ironton High School and Whitwell Grade School.
Afterwards, I graduated from the Naval Academy in 1967 and served 28 years in the Navy including grad school in Mechanical Engineering and a tour overseas in the Philippines. Retiring as a Captain in 1995, I pursued a second career as a defense contractor retiring in 2007 as a Vice President of a $1B company.
Married for 44 years to my sweet wife, Cathy. We live in Springfield, Va. Two children; Mark, who lives in Cincinnati, and Mary in Woodbridge, VA. We have three wonderful grandkids, Lacey (8), and Ethan and Philip, both 2. Life is good.
